Inside the warren Stan is the main man, the big cheese, the head honcho, and all those stupid little names. Being the chief, it's his job to keep the whole place from tearing itself apart. He and Andy are broodmates, meaning that they were both embraced together, held in the kennels together, etc. Since their entrance into the world of immortality, they've been best friends.

The cannibalistic, tongueless, vampire known as Leech is the warren's main guard. Spear in hand, Leech is almost constantly patrolling the Antechamber (warren entrance); Using his obfuscate powers to keep the mazes twisting, the wall screaming, and any unwanted visitors terrified. And should anyone get in that shouldn't, he can always torture and eat them.

At first glance, Andy appears to be little more than the simple minded cartoon sidekick type. But appearances are deceiving. Andy's embrace left him a hideous, hunch-backed, maniac with a bit of a sadistic streak. This gives him all the qualities needed to work the warren's kennels. His duty is to encage would-be fledglings and use all forms of physical and mental torture to make them completely forget their pasts as humans. Fun fun fun.

This phallic faced midget has yet to speak a single word other than "meep". Word on the streets says he's actually a highly-articulate gentleman, trapped inside the body of the world's most mongoloid dwarf. Be this true or not, Tralfaz is the new head of the warren's Spawning Pools (after the untimely, and unshown, death of Grunt). These pools of sewage, rotting flesh, and other yuckies are the "birthing" grounds of the horrid ghoulized beasts used as spies, guards, etc.

The newest member of the warren, Michale is usually at odds with the others. Either because of his pompous attitude, or just annoying someone, he rarely has a good experience just kidding around with someone. Since his first night in the warren, Michale (mick-hail) has been tossed from assignment to assignment, always managing to start some great argument along the way. Currently, he is assigned to guard duty alongside Leech (who Stan made promise not to kill Michale).

Imagine, if you will, living in a constant state of decomposition while at the same time having an incredible healing ability. Going to sleep one morning, a rotting corpse, and waking up the next night slightly less corpse-like, only to rot it all away again. Such is the unlife of the Colonel. His embrace left his body a little worse for the wear, but his mind is still as sharp as a tack. A military drill instructor in life, the Colonel now takes the new "recruits" straight from the kennels and teaches tem how to adapt, if not thrive, in their new life as the undead.
